Strong Tourist Market And Expansion Of Infrastructure Drives Surging Economy In North East Brazil

With thousands of kilometers of golden beaches and temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees all year long, the Brazilian North East is a major attraction for international investors and investors from the more advanced South of the country such as Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Till now, what the North East has lacked in substructure compared with Southern Brazil, it has more than made up for in cultural and touristic prospects. Nevertheless with the winning World Cup football bid for 2014 and forthcoming 2016 Olympic Games a full $1 Trillion has been swore to expand Brazil’s framework, including a powerful contribution going to the North East.

Local and central government are developing initiative after initiative to fuel the growth of the tourism sector and attract foreign investment. As Brazils popularity has increased so have the opportunities for overseas buyers to invest in the Brazilian real estate market. Buy-to-let investors are racing to invest in building plots, new-build apartments and forgotten fazendas in need of some TLC.

Yet while many foreign investors in Brazil are looking directly overseas for their customer base, they can easily overlook the national market at their hazard.

A recent survey undertaken by the IFEP focuses right in the heart of the North Eastern tourism zone in Joo Pessoa, state capital of Paraba. The study shows that by far the majority of visitors to the North East are themselves Brazilian, and a large proportion of those are holiday-makers from the core cities of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia. In fact, of the sample interviewed in Joo Pessoa during a two-week period in January 2010, only 4.48% came from outside the country.

The visitor base to the North East is formed largely of the expanding Brazilian middle class, whose rising salaries are opening up new horizons for travel and investment outside their home cities. In January 2010 40% of tourists to Joo Pessoa chose to stay in hotels, however the remaining 60% elected to stay in various types of alternative accommodation, including self-catering apart-hotels and rental apartments, demonstrating the excellent opportunities for overseas buyers in Brazilian investment property.

With tourism numbers on the increase, property owners in Joo Pessoa are seeing a dramatic rise in returns on their Brazilian investment properties. Joo Pessoa is renowned for its 12-month tourist season with holiday rental property capable of generating extremely high rental yields.

With a powerful internal market as well as demand from overseas property investors development firms are expanding the second home market in the North East. With the rapid growth of the Brazilian middle class, who have an appetite for 1st and 2nd home ownership, investors now have many more exit strategies.

Do These Two Things If You’re Flying

Are you flying somewhere in the near future? If you are, you’re probably well aware of the fact that airline travel can be a tedious and grueling ordeal.

There are so many little components associated with traveling to the point where we often forget about some of the things that would make our experiences much easier. After all, a simple nuisance can easily ruin a day.

Some people do everything they can to make sure that things will be smooth, yet they still run into stumbling blocks along the way. Unfortunately, this is inevitable sometimes. Then again, some extra precautionary measures taken may make a huge difference when all is said and done.

I’m going to share two ideas that I believe you’ll benefit from as long as you make a few preparations in advance. The goal is to limit the number of headaches associated with air travel, and these two measures will help.

My first suggestion is to make sure that you don’t check any bags with the airline. You can do this by bringing a smaller back that meets carry on standards and allows you to bring everything onto the airplane.

Not only do you need to worry about spending extra time after your flight while waiting for your bags, but I have plenty of friends who have had their bags lost or misplaced by the airline. This can all be avoided if you bring a smaller bag with you onto the plane.

I would also recommend buying a few snacks to bring with you onto the flight. The sad thing about travel these days is that meals are limited and often cost money when they’re available.

Most airports are filled with gourmet markets and other convenient stores and restaurants that allow you to bring high quality food onto your flight. Set aside a few minutes to get to one of these before you travel, or simply bring some things from home.

Certain Helpful Guide For Travelers Like You

Being a tourist always means that you have to be constantly on your guard for fear of being ripped off by dubious retailers or being targeted by thieves and pickpockets.

If you are somewhere where the language is hard to understand this can make it easier for them to try to rip you off. But if you follow these few tips then perhaps we can stop this from happening.

1. You should never carry cash in large amounts with you everywhere you go. It is more advisable to keep most of your money in refundable traveler’s checks and try to keep these somewhere different to your cash. Keep a record of the serial numbers of these checks in case you lose some of them.

2. If you really must take credit cards with you only take the one that you are certain of using. Any other cards are safer at home. Never try to use the card once your limit has been reached as this is classed as fraud in some countries. It may be an innocent mistake but that does not matter in these countries so always be aware of your card limit.

3. Make a photocopy of your passport and also your flight details and keep these somewhere safe just in case you need them.

4. When exchanging money always try to stick to the legitimate exchangers. You may get better rates from certain unlawful exchangers but you could get ripped off with fake money or you could get short changed. It is much safer to use your hotel if they exchange or the banks.

5. Try to split any cash that you are carrying with you. Place a small amount in your purse and the rest in your pocket just in case you lose your purse. This way you sill have ash with you.

6. It is vitally important that you never leave any baggage unattended at any time.

7. If you keep focused and aware of your surroundings then you should not have any problems and can enjoy a safe vacation.
